Nathan Fawcett, co-founder and campaign manager at Luminescence says, "I am thrilled to be announcing the launch of Hooves and Hope. For our first production as professionals, we wanted to touch on something close to the heart of our community in Lowestoft. We're lucky to be living in a town where the arts are valued highly by its residents, so we hope this environmental project will go down just as well with the public."
It has been revealed that Hooves and Hope will be an interactive theatrical experience, composed of two parts. The first part will be the shortest, and will be a short devised play about the peryton - a mythical creature that is half stag, half bird. The second part is more grounded in reality, and Luminescence have said that they can't wait to discuss the Chinese water deer in an interactive performance, building bridges between nature, the cast and the audience.
To make the Hooves and Hope project a success, Luminescence has launched a crowdfunder with a goal of £500. Donations will go toward set and prop design, as well as other elements of theatre and operations that will allow this project to meet its true potential.
